Working closely with authors, Resource Assessment Geologist Len Gal and Scientific Coordinator Adrienne Jones, Victory Point FX provided GIS services for a qualitative analysis of petroleum potential in the Dehcho settlement area of the NWT based on hydrocarbon play areas. Work involved digitizing geological maps (polygon assignment, feature coding, and data classification), conversion and integration of tabular and incompatible data formats, and performing spatial analysis and modeling of play areas to produce a map based on increasing petroleum potential.
