Victory Point FX is providing ongoing GIS services to map information related to fish, their prey, and habitats in the Husky Lakes of the NWT. The project compiles four years of study of the Husky Lakes system undertaken during 2001-2004. Worked involved converting field data for over 6000 fish representing 18 species, water quality variables including salinity, bathymetry data, and lake water levels over time. Custom maps and a poster summarizing fisheries resources throughout the lake were created, along with a spatial analysis of the relationship between the distribution of lake trout and salinity.
